Time Flies When You're Having Fun...

When I started back at University I decided that I would start to post a weekly blog entry... 2 weeks in and there's still nothing to be seen! School and work has seemed to overtake my life, whether it's note-taking or driving the 2 hour trip to my place of work. So blog post one, here we go...

So I recently found out that I will be studying my second semester (January - April) in the lovely Seneca College, Toronto, Canada!! I'm so excited to be planning a new stage in my life that involves travel and fashion!

In 2009, at the age of 16, my high school provided me with one of the greatest opportunities of my life so far... to act as part of an exchange program to Nelson, BC, Canada. I was expected to study my Scottish School subjects in a completely new surrounding and leave my safety blanket of Fife at home. 5 students from St. Andrews ventured West to the land of snow for two months, before flying home for Christmas.

Living in Silverton, really opened my eyes to new cultures and living in a new environment. Swapping my semi-modern home for a cabin in the woods and 5am starts. The experience was extremely different from what I was used to, with limited interent and no phone signal, but turned out to create an amazing experience and permitted me to make a life-long friendship with my exchange partner.

I am SO excited to be starting on my new adventure in January, starting in Toronto, then flying West to visit friends and family, finishing in Vancouver. After booking flights last week it's all becoming a little bit more real! Although I will definitely miss all my friends and family back home, especially the parentals and the dogs, I just hope I don't cry as much as I did the last time!

I've been told that Montreal will suffice my need for fashion, so I will definitely try and spend a bit of time there if my timetable isn't too filled up with the amount of things I want to see and do!

I will definitely write a more detailed blog post about Canada in the near future when I'm provided with more information!

Post Summer Sadness...

As we all know this Summer's weather has been unbelievable and sadly will not last. This can only indicate that the University timetable has been released and we will soon be trudging through the snow to classes. But before I become depressed about the 'dour' Scottish weather I'd like to update you all on some recent on-goings in my life!

So at the beginning of the holidays I went to Malta to visit my family, and after 2 weeks of constant tanning I managed to achieve a bronzed complexion! But sadly all things must come to an end and the tan has started to fade pretty quickly. *sadface

After Malta, I had family visit me from the 'US of A', so it was fun trying to act as a tour guide and visit the Edinburgh Dungeons, resulting in an accidental r-rated photograph during the last roller coaster ride...

I passed my exams with AABBB meaning that I now have the opportunity to study in Toronto in January!! So I will definitely keep you all up to date on that adventure!

On other news my government student funding has increased! Wayhay! Meaning that I can buy even more University Books (ahem clothes!)... So I decided to start as I mean to go on and have bought a new Barbour Jumper, a Michael Kors Bag and a yellow blazer from Topshop!...

So after this quick update of my life it's time for me to head to bed for some zzz's after my friends pretty spectacular 21st Birthday last night!

So it's been 4 months since my last blog post.... what!?

I'll admit, it doesn't feel that 4 months ago I was writing a blog as part of my coursework hand-ins! But I've decided it's time to get back into the swing of things and continue to tell my readers all about my thoughts, feelings and exciting adventures!

Since it has been such a long time since my last post I've decided my first few of 2013 will be used to catch you up on the recent on-goings in my life, with the first being about our trip to London Fashion Weekend.

So in February this year, as part of my studies, there was a great opportunity to attend London Fashion Weekend! This takes place following London Fashion Week, so sadly we didn't get to see any of the BIG names, but both events took place at Somerset House, which is probably as close as we'll get as 2nd year university students!

The show contained all the current fashion trends of SS13, displaying brilliant uses of colours, prints and  fabrics! But instead of boring you all with loads of text, I've attached the video I created of our adventure for you all to see what we got up to!
 Enjoy!
